This course combines the concepts of Forensic Art and Facial Imaging.

Forensic art is the use of artistic skills to create images of people or scenes for law enforcement or legal purposes. It can be used to:

  • Identify suspects or victims
  • Reconstruct crime scenes
  • Create age progressions of missing persons
  • Help juries understand evidence

Facial imaging is the creation of images of faces. It can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Forensic identification
  • Medical diagnosis
  • Cosmetic surgery

You will use a variety of specialist hardware. These include 3D modelling software with haptic feedback styluses and 3D scanners.
