Overview
It's never too late to start a new career. If you have a bachelor's degree and want to teach, the Licensure and Master's Program (LAMP) at The University of Toledo is a perfect choice.
LAMP's accredited one- and two-year teacher licensure and master's degree programs are intentionally structured to prepare adult learners who already have degrees in specific content areas, such as science or English, to be successful Ohio educators.
Students simultaneously earn initial, four-year Ohio teaching licenses and a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.).
LAMP is a unique blend of theory and practice. It combines master's-level courses and in-classroom experience. UToledo's Judith Herb College of Education is committed to developing teacher-leaders who actively work for advancements in education.
The following areas are available in UToledo's Licensure and Master's Program:
- Adolescent to Young Adult (grades 7-12)
- Art
- Early Childhood
- Foreign Language
- Middle Childhood
