Overview

Create Smiles

Seton Hill’s Advanced Specialty Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics combines didactic, clinical and research components leading to both a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics. (This program is designed for students who have already earned a D.D.S., D.M.D. or equivalent.)

How the Program Works

Seton Hill's Orthodontics Program is a 30-month program that includes an intensive, full-time course of study as well as supervised clinical training in various contemporary orthodontic techniques.

The program begins with a week-long orientation in July, with courses and clinical work starting immediately thereafter. Supervising clinical faculty present their philosophies in daily diagnosis and treatment planning seminars. A variety of clinical techniques are demonstrated and utilized in the school’s orthodontic clinical facility, the Seton Hill University Center for Orthodontics.

As the written portion of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) exam is part of the course of study at Seton Hill, residents are eligible for additional certification through the ABO once they have fulfilled clinical requirements.

Seton Hill's Center for Orthodontics

The University’s Center for Orthodontics incorporates the latest technology with specialized equipment, to provide the highest standard of treatment for patients, and an optimal learning experience for residents.

Special Online MBA Tuition Discount

Many of Seton Hill's Orthodontics Program residents - especially those planning on starting their own practices - take advantage of a substantial tuition discount in order to earn an MBA at Seton Hill. For more information, contact the Office of Graduate & Adult Studies.
