Skills to Manage Global Projects

The Master’s Degree in Project Management is designed and taught by PMP®-certified faculty with real-world expertise in the field. Students will learn to manage projects in a fast-paced, global business environment using current techniques such as Agile Management and virtual teams. GGU will give you the tools to master the technical aspects of the field as well as skills in management & leadership, communication, and conflict resolution. Students will gain knowledge from faculty who are certified by PMI®, and who have significant real-world project management experience.The Master of Science in Project Management is a STEM degree program that prepares students for careers in the growing discipline of project management. The curriculum includes courses specific to the project management profession, along with courses providing additional essential skills and knowledge to be a successful project leader. Students will graduate with project management skills emphasizing an integrated relationship with an organization’s functional areas. (Note: prior to the Fall 2023 Academic Period, only this program’s IT Management Concentration was designated as STEM.)


Our degree and certificate programs in project management provide formal training that prepares graduates to manage local, outsourced and global projects. Students’ improved communication skills will enable them to succeed in multiple diverse communities within an organization. Faculty with extensive practical experience and who have earned the PMP® designation teach all of our courses.


Course materials align with the current edition of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), Project Management Institute, Inc. Students seeking PMI® certification, such as PMP® or CAPM®, are able to satisfy education requirements with just one 3-unit project management course, while current credential holders can earn PDUs (Professional Development Units).

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited US institution or the equivalent from a recognized foreign (outside the US) institution, and provide official transcripts.
  • Applicants whose native language is not English must meet the English Language Proficiency Admission Requirements.
  • Applicants are required to submit a statement of purpose and a resume.
