Sports Programs

Home to 16 division III varsity athletics teams, there are events to entertain all sports enthusiasts and give international students a taste of US college sports culture. The UMass Beacons participate in 10 NCAA distinct sports including soccer, basketball, and ice hockey. In addition, they have a wide variety of intramural sports teams open to all students for recreation. The department’s goal is to promote physical fitness, improve health, provide fun and enjoyment and foster the development of friendships and belonging.
